A recent University of Michigan study on mice found that sulforaphane also\u00a0 targets\u00a0 cancer stem cells-those that aid in tumor growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>H<\/strong><strong>elps fight: <\/strong>breast, liver, lung, prostate, skin, stomach, and bladder cancers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Y<\/strong><strong>our Rx: <\/strong>The more broccoli, the better, research suggests-so add it wherever you can, from salads to omelets to the top of your pizza.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>B<\/strong><strong>erries<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-208 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.oncquest.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/2.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"241\" height=\"203\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All berries are packed with cancer-fighting phytonutrients. But black raspberries, in particular, contain very high concentrations of phytochemicals called anthocyanins, which slow down the growth of<\/p>\n<p>premalignant cells and keep new blood vessels from forming (and potentially feeding a cancerous tumor), according to Gary D. And that&#8217;s good news, because lycopene was found to stop endometrial cancer cell growth in a study in Nutrition and Cancer.
